My jewellery reflects my interests in fashion, music and body adornment, combining precious and non-precious materials, such as silver and acrylic. Each piece of jewellery in my collection is crafted by hand from start to finish as I believe this gives the creations value and significance, as well as giving them a history. I have used silver and pearls to contrast with resin and acrylic to play on the vintage/modern aspect of my designs. I enjoy juxtaposing traditional elements of jewellery with contemporary jewellery-making techniques and materials to give my designs a distinctive appearance. I use pearls and lace in my designs to reflect my feminine personality and my passion for romance and Victorian fashion. I believe jewellery should be beautiful as its purpose is to adorn or beautify the body. I am mesmerised by intricate details and they play an important part in my designs, making the wearer look closer at the pieces.
